About

My name is Emily Mora and I work privately with students in the Raleigh, North Carolina area who are experiencing challenges with word-level decoding, spelling, reading comprehension, writing and fluency.

I have a B.A. in Psychology from Wake Forest University and an M.Ed. in Speech-Language Pathology from The University of Virginia. I have also completed the Dyslexia Training Institute’s Dyslexia Certificate Program, which focuses on the Orton-Gillingham Approach and multi-sensory interventions for reading and writing.

In addition to working with students, I am a training mentor for the Dyslexia Training Institute’s Dyslexia Certificate Program. I support professionals and parents who are completing their certification, as they learn to apply the Orton-Gillingham based approaches to their practicum experience.

I recently completed the Dyslexia Advocate Certificate Program through the Dyslexia Training Institute, to help me support students and families as they navigate their school’s special education system.
